The Graduate School is happy to share with our readers the new television ad that was the product of a big idea on our part, and a good deal of hard work and talent from our friends at the Television Center. Their mission was to incorporate our vision – that of discovery – with the diversity of graduate programs that we offer at the University of North Dakota.

With more than 100 graduate degree programs, I think we hit the mark to demonstrate this. We also wanted to stay true to our branding of creative and innovative tags. We would love to hear feedback from our readers.

A couple of months ago, I shared a preview of the inChemistry magazine advertisement we created, to highlight the great work done at UND in our Chemistry graduate program. The next issue, ready for publication in December, focuses on Chemistry Careers. I chose to feature recent Alum, Neville Forlemu who graduated earlier this year with his Ph.D. in Chemistry. Neville had some wonderful accomplishments during his time at UND. He was awarded the prestigious UNCF/Merck Science Initiative Fellowship for 2008, and is now working in his field as a researcher at Icahn Medical Institute in New York. Neville will also feature in our Grad Stories series, coming soon.

Due out this month is the next issue of in Chemistry magazine. The Graduate School will be highlighting our chemistry graduate programs in a full page advertisement and I have provided a sneak peak at what will appear in the magazine. Three more advertisements will appear over the next year, and we will preview those as they develop.
