Tomorrow (March 5th) graduate students from the Department of History will present their papers for the annual Red River Valley History Conference. The conference is organized by the UND Chapter, Beta-Upsilon, of the History Honor Society Phi Alpha Theta. You can read more about the schedule here.

A highlight of the event is the 2010 Robert Wilkins’ Lecture which features the scholarship of Vanderbilt University’s Dr. Robin Jensen.  A North Dakota native, she grew up in Grand Forks and attended Concordia College in Moorehead before undertaking her graduate work at Columbia University/Union Theological Seminary, New York.

Dr. Jensen is the Luce Chancellor’s Professor of the History of Christian Art and Worship and she will present, “Living Water: Rituals, Spaces, and Images of Early Christian Baptism”, at 4pm on March 5th in the Lecture Bowl. The lecture is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
