A new recruitment season and a new challenge – Best Cup.

The Graduate School is on the road once again, visiting Graduate Fairs and meeting with students who are interesting in finding a great graduate program. One of the highly anticipated events is Purdue’s Big Ten Conference which we attended yesterday. It was a beautiful day in West Lafayette and the Big Ten Conference was amazing.  So many great students from all over the country and many schools from UCLA TO UConn. We felt quite special being ensconced across from Yale University.   The caliber of the students here is phenomenal and we so enjoyed talking with them.  Physics was the hit of the day, I had to run out and print off more fact sheets.   We even talked to a student who wanted to study ancient history in the Mediterranean.
So, given that this was the first day of the recruiting season and last year the ongoing blog was about the best hamburger, I officially throw down the guauntlet for the best cup of coffee.   To start the challenge off right I give you a double shot cafe creme brullee from Grey Coffee house.   Not only was this espresso perfection in smoothness sweetness and boldness, notice the lovely pattern the barrista made with the foam.   How in the world?  It was almost too pretty to drink.   Accompanied by a warm crepe stuffed with mariniated egglplant home dried tomatoes and basil with incredible goat feta cheese. It was one of the finest breakfasts I have ever had.
Tomorrow on the road to Iowa for Ilene and home for me.   Thank you Purdue for all of your pleasures.
