Introducing UND’s Women in Science Group

with one comment

This past Spring, a group of undergraduate and graduate students came together to form the UND Women in Science group  to help provide support and networking for women in science disciplines across campus. With the support and guidance of a faculty board, the newly formed group plans to host meetings and networking opportunities to facilitate connections, highlight opportunities and discuss topics common to many women in the sciences.

The Spring issue of UND Discovery magazine has a nice story about the new UND WIS group as well a great article about their student president, Korey Sutherland, and her educational journey bridging atmospheric sciences, environmental geography, political science and mathematics. You can read that issue here.

If you are interesting in joining their group or following their activities, check out their flyer for more information. They will also be regular contributors to the WIS blog thread, so watch this space.
