Graduate and Professional Student Gathering on Thursday

leave a comment »

Take a break from the demands of your studies and spend some much needed social time with your fellow graduate and professional students. This group will be hosted by Kyle Thorson, a graduate student, and Kylie Oversen, a law student. The gathering is open to all disciplines and will give you a chance to meet people beyond your own field of study. We hope to meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

Our next gathering will be this Thursday, September 19th @ 5:30pm at University Park, Shelter #2. Christus Rex has graciously agreed to provide food one more time –we will have pulled pork sandwiches, veggies, fruit, cookies, and water. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own food and drink as well.

If you are on Facebook, you can connect with the larger group here: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/385538778240964/ – The “Events” tab on the top will have updated information for each gathering.

Please join the group and invite your friends to do the same! We had about thirty people show up last time and we are expecting even more this week!

· Note: Because Christus Rex is providing this food, we don’t want it to go to waste if the weather doesn’t cooperate. If it rains, we’ll move the party inside to the Christus Rex lounge. Again, no agenda or religious intentions behind this meeting- open to students of all or no faiths! Just a chance to get to know people from other areas of campus.

You can email Kylie, kylie.oversen@gmail.com or Kyle, kyle.thorson@UND.edu , if you have any questions!

Hope to see you there!
